8 Reasons You Should Start Blogging in 2020

Blogging has been one of the promising careers, obviously for variety of reasons. No longer it is limited to just the businesses or hobbyists: right from the students to house-wives, and working-individuals can start a blog and become a better person.

The potential of blogging is truly infinite. However, the fact is, your level of blogging success depends on the reasons you’re blogging for. Personally, I have benefited a lot with blogging – I’ve been making friends, improving my writing, getting better financially, and been adding value to others.

There could be various reasons for a person to start a blog. Let’s discuss some:

8 benefits of blogging

1. Blogging for money

Yes, if you build a blog with the right audience base, there may be amazing opportunities for you to earn out of it eventually. In today’s world who doesn’t want to diversify their income sources, after-all.

If you’re a student, retired employee, or a working professional – you could start a blog, offer value, build an audience base, and monetize to create a great side income yourself. Not to wonder if it becomes your major income source in future.

All of it could happen when you consider it as serious business and solve the problems of your audience.

2. Blogging Improves your creativity skills

Seeing your blog posts on 1st page of Google for a competitive keyword requires lot of backend work.

To begin with..

You will need to collect trending content ideas, draft the content by keeping your audience and SEOs in mind, design cover images, promote your blog with the relevant audience, and prepare further SEO strategies to rank it better.

Here are some cool skills or things you get to learn along with blogging:

  • Creating and designing blogs and websites on WordPress
  • Writing
  • Digital marketing
  • Designing graphics
  • Social media marketing and managing

When go back now and take a look at some of those blog posts I had written back in 2017, I feel embarrassed – yet I felt they were good at that time. This analysis confirms me that I’ve been getting better year to year as a writer.

Practicing writing makes you better in terms of professionally. You could offer freelance writing to the businesses and create one more source of income yourself.

3. Blogging help you inspire your audience

Being able to inspire people and make them pick the right choices is one of our life’s goals. No?

As a blogger, you will have plenty of opportunities to add value to other people. Let’s say you blog about “parenting”. There are tons of parents in the world who are looking for specific help/ideas to bring up their children.

The same applies to any other blog topic. Every niche-blogger helps his/her audience in a way.

4. Blogging establish authority

Imagine yourself writing about a specific niche for thousands of hours? You will build so much authority and become an influencer eventually. Becoming an influencer makes people listen to you and follow you.

You will be that person readers reach to solve their problems. They will surely learn that you’re the person they could trust upon. Blog is a great way to show-off your expertise on a particular topic and build authority.

5. Blogging accelerate your confidence

For me, blogging has been the weapon to overcome so many fears and build confidence gradually. As a shy guy, I did find it difficult to put myself out there and speak up when I had no blog.

Blogging shown me a way to getup and talk what I’ve always wanted to talk. And it make me understand that there are so many people like me in the world. So I thought of inspiring them with my knowledge.

It didn’t happen overnight but little by li’l. By putting your thoughts constantly at the public forum, you go more confident and creative.

There’s no such thing as impossible. We just have to give a thought about it, boost our confidence levels and keep going.

6. Blogging helps you make friends

Undoubtedly, blogging helps you reach more audience and they doesn’t have to just be your followers. Over the time, they can become your life-friends, business partners or you could even get into a relationship.

Every blogger can build a community filled with like-minded people. And such people could easily turn each into friends since they share like-interests. There are so many public forums, Facebook communities, or other social media platforms where you get to meet new people who share similar ideas as you.

Back then, I was alone blogger but today I have dozens of pro friends like Nikola Roza, Ryan Biddulph who would not hesitate to uplift me in a way that I wish.

If you too want to make such friends, you can started by dropping a comment on their blog post, sharing their content on Twitter, engaging with them in a FB group, and likewise ways.

7. Blogging can diversify your talent

I never thought that I would earn money with writing. Blogging was my first step to reach the further heights today I’m in. Now I constantly get small writing projects and blog setup gigs with which I increase my pockets.

It is not required to earn just through your blog in coming future. The skills you learn with blogging could take you to diversified career streams. Once you master the art of blogging, indirectly, you would have learned skills like designing, writing, SEO, basic graphic design, marketing consultation, etc.

And who knows, what skill would lead you where.

You could publish an eBook on Amazon and become the next best selling author or start a consultation form and offer advice to aspiring hustlers. See, blogging could make a positive difference if you take it seriously.

8. Blogging makes you a better person

I find it hard to put into phrases the kind of personal growth you could have as a blogger. It is not just about creating a blog, helping others and taking it to the next level. But it changes you from the root level.

Blogging teaches you to be active, patient, go-getting, seizing the new opportunities, setting new goals, planning to achieve ’em, managing your time, learning, implementing, analyzing and what not.

Undoubtedly, you would become a better person as a blogger.

Conclusion

No matter what the job you do must be fun-doing. Be it a blogging or something else.

So before you go, keep in mind that…as like any other job, blogging may also have good days and bad, but the good ones be superior to bad ones…

It is all about the mindset.
